Name: Nathan "Cable" Summers
Door: Door Pass

Canon: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Canon Point: Deadpool 2 - Leaving Essex House with the (surviving) X-Force.

Age: 50+ years
Appearance: Image Linked

History: XMCU Wikia: Cable
CR AU (Optional): N/A

Personality:
Positive Trait: Compassion

Although Cable seems cold and callous in his introduction (and he is), he does have a good heart and a moral compass. He's willing to sacrifice his chance to go back home to his family because he sees the need to prevent a horrible, war-torn future. It is also debatable, but having worked with Deadpool he is able to see him as a force for good and chooses to save him. He is touched by the good of others and he can see the good in people, even if he doesn't express it. He can become invested in those around him, willing to partner with them or boost them up so that they can see their own potential. He puts (wary) faith in people when he's evaluated their intentions and their actions. Cable's purpose in Deadpool's timeline is to kill a child who grows up to kill his family, but he allows himself to be convinced of allowing redemption and rehabilitation.

Negative Trait: Ruthless
It's nearly impossible to push Nathan off a path once he's already set himself on it, and he'll push down anyone in his way if he needs to. He was willing to kill a child, knowing they'd grow up to kill his family. In this mission he also kidnapped and threatened to torture a friend of Deadpool, beat the everloving shit out of Deadpool himself and was perfectly willing to shoot everyone trying to stop him. It was only when he realised he'd need help that he reeled himself in. His ruthlessness can also be attributed to being a soldier and being extremely disciplined.

Negative Trait: Callousness
Nathan is a hard guy to know. He gives one or two word answers with discretion and is reluctant to reveal much about himself. When he does, it seems to come out of left-field and confuses people more than anything. He can be harsh, rude and insulting and he makes judgments on character and ability very quickly. Nathan doesn't allow himself to smile or laugh often and maintains a cold exterior.

Negative Trait: Messiah Complex
Nathan's own wants and needs are secondary to what's best for everyone. This makes it difficult for Nathan to admit that he may have his own wants and needs to attend to.

The future he existed in was full of chaos and disease. Although he had visited the past with the motivation to save his family, he gave up his chance to return to them in order to save the future. He saw an opportunity to make the changes now and made a choice to put his happiness on the back-burner for it.

Nathan is quick to take the All or Nothing route and he's quick to offer himself up for the hard, dirty and dangerous jobs. He also chose himself above anyone else to save the future, which requires some over-confidence on his part.

Powers and Abilities:
(I'm copy+pasting from the wiki and adding nerf notes under.)

Enhanced Vision - Cable's eye has advanced scanning and holographic capabilities. It was able to scan his many weapons and pick out the perfect pieces needed to build a better gun. The eye gives Cable vital information of his surroundings such as potential threats, location of items and seems to enhance his vision well beyond that of a normal human, including telescopic and spectrum lenses.

(Would like to keep this, but I am also game for it to be hacked/fucked with.)

Telekinesis - Cable has a telekenetic-like connection to his weaponry and equipment. Using his bionics he pull his weapons towards him similar to a magnet.

(Nerf Note: Cable's telekinesis is not particularly strong as he primarily uses it to stop his cybernetic disease from spreading.)

Shield Generation - Cable's Bionics allow him to project a oval shaped force-field from his arms. While being shot at close range, Cable was able to withstand the bullets rippling against him with the force field. The shield was strong enough to take a full blast of fire from Firefist.

Computer Interaction - Cable’s bionic body allows him to interact with machines and computer devices. Cable was able grab one of the electrical cables in the Ice Box, and hack into its systems to uncover the prisoner layout of the building. The information traveled through his arm into his eye, which displayed the information holographically.

(I'd like to keep this if possible, but perhaps with consequences and/or nerfing. I'm happy for him to be severely electrocuted etc if he tries to interact with in-game computers/technology.)

Superhuman Strength, Enhanced Durability, Bionic Physiology & Enhanced Agility
