Cable is a telepath and a telekinetic. His powers closely resemble his mother's (Madelyne Pryor).

Cable's powers are much diminished by his techno-organic virus. Cable uses his powers to stop the virus spreading through his body.

Despite this, Cable has nerfed telepathic and telekinetic abilities.

They are as follows:
Vibe-checking - Cable's telepathy enhances his pre-existing ability to be analytical. If there are strong emotions involved in a situation or conversation, he can sometimes pick up on this without a visual cue. He can probably, to a reasonable distance and pending the openness of a person's mind, detect if they're close. I usually play this as Cable being observant with a good memory, but I am happy to have him to more explicitly sense a thought, feeling or memory.
Influence - Cable does not have the power to control thoughts or actions. He can influence a person's thoughts if they're open to it (ie; allowing him to block nightmares or memories)
Messaging - Cable can communicate and be communicated with telepathically.
Low-level Telekinesis - Cable can move small objects over a small distance, he can't fight a lot of resistance (if someone is grabbing the object tightly).
Mental-blocking - Cable has some ability to force other telepaths out of his head, if they pushed back they could probably resist his defences.
Technopathy - Cable's arm allows him to hack into information databases.

Cable can use unnerfed powers at personal cost (letting the virus spread). If it comes up in a thread, I will definitely discuss this and plan it.

If you do not want Cable to use any/all of the powers listed above on your character, please let me know! Happy to use it as a point to plot from as well.

Things for Cable to notice about Storm's brain: she has a natural static field that protects her thoughts from surface or casual telepathic interference - 1 and 2.

She's also trained by Charles Xavier to forcefully push intrusive telepaths out of her mind via the red triangle protocol.

But she's also open to Nathan contacting her via telepathic summons! And she might occasionally try to psychically yell really loudly for him and see if he picks up lol.

I'm also open to device hacking (or device/data security) shenanigans!!

Vibe-Checking: Alongside what he'd normally pick up from Leeds, he might catch a weird echo or feedback sensation, where he can sense his own wants and needs coming back to him from Leeds. (Alternatively, if he's around Leeds and at least one other person Leeds can sense, he might notice feelings coming from Leeds that don't quite match up.) Since he's not going to be probing deeply under normal circumstances, he'll probably notice this only if/when things get emotionally intense.

Mental Blocking: If/when he learns about Leeds' ability, he can probably use this to block himself off from the big guy temporarily. The compulsions are definitely more of a passive thing, so they won't be actively pushing through any defenses. Not sure how long he could keep it up, but I figured it was worth noting!

Hacking: Willing to play with this if it comes up! Just obviously need to talk out the details OOC when it happens.

you know Logan's whole deal so I won't get too deep into his funky amnesia brain with its dash of animal instinct. Cable is free sense all of these things, including Logan's presence and big mad feelings, etc.

I don't mind cable exerting influence to get Logan to chill out if he's ever in beast mode because of his nightmares or flashbacks. You are always free to go for that. Outside of those situations, I'm open to it but just ask me first since Logan's reaction to mental manipulation can be unpredictable given /gestures at the horrors. So I mostly just want to make sure we arrange the details so that it works for the thread.

Because they're BESTIES Cable can have access to it allll, baby. I have Wade with some natural psychic defense because he's crazy, but he's not gonna bother with Cable, and Cable knows his whole [gestures at all of Wade.] So feel free to have him be pinged by anything in the internal prose in any of my tags or note shifts in his emotions! Not to be gross on main but he'd rather just Tell Cable Something rather than him let the virus spread.

Also I'm intrigued by the idea of them talking telepathically, at least onesided, but also don't know if Cable deserves this. It's gonna be bad enough when he starts texting him

vibe-checking is a big yes. in duplicity, rowena's walls are much lower around nathan than others, so he'd be able to read her emotions/state much easier (and from further away). pls call her out on the emotions she doesn't want to admit.

influence they are going to have some delightful nightmare talks pls. i'd rather say that it doesn't 100% work (not permanently, anyway) but maybe on nights they sleep together he can block her memories/nightmares so she can have a peaceful sleep with him (maybe it doesn't perma-work because she doubts it so she blocks his blocking)

mental-blocking she can only astral project but she can mentally/spiritually do it. he could block her out. if she physically did it she wouldn't be in his head (appearing physically in front of him) but he could block her mental ones if he chose

You have blanket permission to use any of these powers on Riz at any point in the future! He has no special powers that will impact any of the above, and I tend to include whatever emotions he's feeling in my tags, though he does operate on a baseline of paranoid, high-strung, and deeply observant.

Vibe-checking: Please, everyone knows this loudmouth is coming close, but! He seems like a very bright and radiating type 95% of the time. The only times he has other intense emotions are if he has separation anxiety or is lonely, or if he is very upset over some disrespect. He also has what's known as Conqueror's or Supreme King "haki," which is an inherent predisposition to assert one's influence over others by sheer willpower. Luffy doesn't know how to tap into or recognizes this. But he's a shounen hero, so he's got the specialist most powerful kind of haki. Cable might sense it as something like an underlying strength that is contradictory to his easygoing nature.

Influence: I doubt this would come up unless a crew mate of his disappears and he wants to erase a memory. It's possible.
Messaging: God yes, it'd be so funny. He would be so confused.
Low-level Telekinesis: Totally down if it happens. He'll think it's super cool and that Cable is super cool
Mental-blocking: If there's ever an event where Luffy can tap into Conqueror's, this might be interesting. He can literally make grown men faint from his thicc girthy willpower ooo~!
