Background.
Cable is a time-traveling mutant soldier from a dystopian future. Cable is the son of Cyclops (Scott Summers) and Madelyne Pryor, and he has various powers, including telekinesis and advanced combat skills. His primary motivation is to prevent a dark future.
Cable has a wife and daughter who were brutally murdered. Cable travelled back in time to save them and seek revenge. Cable gave up returning to his future to save Deadpool save the world for them.

Techno-Organic Virus.
The Techno-Organic Virus is a growing organism that converts living or once-living tissue into animate technology, ultimately consuming its host entirely. Though a converted host continues to function as a living organism, it is driven by the desire to spread the virus to other lifeforms. With no known antidote, the virus it can be held in place through physical means such as telekinesis.
Cable uses telekinesis to manage his virus, it is not contagious.
Comics Lore
Given that Cable has an extensive comics history and a lot of vaguery in the movie, I happily supplement with comics lore. When it comes to Grey-Summers family dynamics, I am very happy to play this by ear. Movie Cable is seemingly at quite an early point in his "lore" so he won't be as across things as Comics Cable.
Shipping
My beloved ships are with Deadpool, Domino, Storm, Wolverine & Rogue but I'm pretty happy to chemistry check with anyone (noting that Cable is taciturn and difficult). I also absolutely love cross-canon shipping. F/M and M/M is fine but he tends to lean toward being the dominant/bossy partner.
